Cupid’s arrow is notched, and it’s aimed at the St. James Hotel.

According to Janet Dawkins, general manager of the hotel, the St. James Hotel will host an evening of love for couples on Valentine’s Day. Dawkins noted, though, that those interested in taking advantage of the night should call the front desk now.

For about $150, couples get a suite featuring a fireplace and whirlpool tub. Upon entering the room, guests will discover a dozen roses, a fruit and cheese tray and a bottle of champagne. &uot; It’s waiting for them in the room,&uot; Dawkins said.

The same package exists for king and queen-sized rooms, but for only about $119.

Hotel guests who also want dinner before retiring for the evening can enjoy the sounds of Preston Frazier. Frazier, a regular musician at the hotel, will perform romantic, classic music and old favorites. &uot; He’ll be playing for all those romantics,&uot; Dawkins said.

The menu will include steak and seafood for two. A 10-ounce ribeye steak and one-half dozen gulf shrimp as well as red velvet cake adorn the menu for about $37.50.

Dinner lasts from 6 to 10 p.m. Frazier will begin playing during dinner.
