Francis Marion fends off Keith’s late charge

Coach Woodie Jackson and his Francis Marion Rams jumped out to an early lead, but had to fight off Keith’s rally late to hold onto a 69-64 win Tuesday night at Keith.

Julius Allgood led the way with 26 points, 16 rebounds, two steals, three blocks and three assists. Jeremy Arrington had 18 points, five rebounds and eight assists

Brian Moore added 10 points and six rebounds. Dwayne Woods scored nine points and three rebounds.

Keith was led by Anthony Robinson with 16 points.

Jeremiah Whitt had 10, most of which came in the third quarter.

Meadowview- 60

Bessemer-29

The Meadowview Lady Trojans got back on the winning track as they pounded Bessemer, 60-29.

Haley McIntyre had 34 points and 11 rebounds.

Joni Lawrence had nine and three rebounds and Elyse hit two 3-pointers for six points.

She also had seven assists.

Sarah Biddle had five points and Mallory Cassebaum, Deavan Aultman and Ashton Smith all had two points.

The Lady Trojans are 17-6, 4-2 in the area and finished runner-up in the area.

JV Meadowview-31

Carol Ann Mcintyre led the losing Lady Trojans’ JV with 20 and seven rebounds. Deavan Aultman added six and nine rebounds. Haley Johnston had five points and three rebounds.

Wilcox Central-72

The Lady Jags of Wilcox Central pounded the Monroe Lady Tigers, 72-30 Tuesday night.

The leading scorer for the Jags was Ashley Welch with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

The Jags’ record is 18-5 and 5-0 in the area.

Meadowview- 51

Bessemer-61

Bessemer was led by Tavoris Rooks with 21 points and Brandon Lewis and Vincent Cook with 11 each as they beat Meadowview, 61-51, Tuesday night.

Robert Morton led with 35 points and eight rebounds.

Dustin Lee added eight points, Noah Reid had five points and Aaron Raines scored three points and had 14 rebounds and seven assists.

Chris Sewell had three points and eight assists.

Wilcox-57

Monroe-37

The Wilcox Central Jaguars downed Monroe County, 57-37 Tuesday night.

Mike Williams messed around and had at triple-double with 17 points, 15 rebounds and 12 blocks in the winning effort.
