On Dec. 24, Selma police arrested Donte Harris, 24, and a 17-year-old juvenile for allegedly using force to enter the Gummadapu home and attempting to steal various items.

According to police, the two men managed to gain entrance into the residence by posing a delivery men.

Both of the Gummadapus were injured during the incident and received treatment at Vaughan Regional Medical Center, where Rangerao is employed

After the initial arrests of the two male suspects, Selma Police Chief Robert Green said the incident was not a random act of violence.

Police said Downs was apparently not an active participant in the attack on the couple but was involved in the crime.

Downs was transported to the Dallas County Jail where she is currently being held on a $5,000 bond for each charge.
