A tough night from the free throw stripe proved to be too much to overcome for the Central Christian Lady Warriors Tuesday night at home.

Facing Marion Academy in a low-scoring contest, the Lady Warriors tied the game in the fourth quarter, but couldn’t seal the deal.

The Lady Panthers did enough down the stretch to hold on for the 30-26 win.

Marion’s Amy Parsons was hot in the first half. She scored 11 of her game-high 13 points in the first half.

The Lady Panthers led 17-16 at the half.

Parsons got help from Nicole Tew, Clara Tew, Sarah Fowler and Alisha Stoudenmire, all of whom scored 4 points each.

Chastity Curtis had a single point in the fourth quarter to help her team hold on for the win.

For the Lady Warriors, Ashley Weber led the way with 12 points.

While Weber did most of her scoring damage in the first half, she helped keep the Warriors close with her play inside.

She had several rebounds and blocks in the second half as the Warriors fought back.

Trisha Stacey scored 7 for the Warriors while Tamara Stacey added 4 points.

Holly Carter finished with 2 points while Amber Martin had a single point.

The Lady Warriors were 12 of 32 from the line.
