Selma boxers Pierre Webster and Kenyon Lowe advanced to the nationals of USA boxing with wins in the 2004 USA Boxing Southeast Regional in Westwego, La on December 6.

Fighting with the Southern Association, Webster and Lowe were joined by teammate Chris Godber of Birmingham in winning.

Working with the boxers from Birmingham has helped the kids from Selma as well.

Lowe, Webster and C. Godber are the only three boxers from the state of Alabama to advance to the National Championships.

The championships will be held Jan. 10-17 at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.
