McIntyre leads Lady Trojans past Wilcox Academy

A 26-point, 13-rebound performance by Lady Trojan Haley McIntyre led Meadowview to a home win Saturday night against Wilcox Academy.

Despite late foul trouble, McIntyre had an outstanding game.

She added a pair of blocks and a pair of steals to the effort.

Joni Lawrence came in and gave Meadowview a big lift.

She hit a pair of 3’s on her way to 10 points for Meadowview.

Trailing by two as the third quarter wound down, Lawrence hit a three to give the Trojans the lead.

Meadowview slowed things down with McIntyre in foul trouble.

They scored all their fourth quarter points at the foul line.

Ashton Smith added 5 points

and 8 boards while Kasey Burton had a single point.

Eylse McIntyre added some hustle plays for Meadowview.

For Wilcox, Rasarah Browder and Victoria Collins finished with 12 points each.

Anne Jonin added 6 points and Amy Winter had 3.

Jill Bledsoe and Katy Kyle added two points each.

The win improves the Lady Trojans to 4-1.

The Lady Trojans travel to Hooper on Tuesday and they will play in the Wilcox Tournament next weekend.

In JV action, the Lady Cats took the win, 32-17.

Carol Ann McIntyre scored 11 points and grabbed 5 boards for Meadowview.

Devan Aultman had 4 points, 9 boards and 5 steals for the Lady Trojans.
