Elijah W. Fuller

The Rev. Elijah W. Fuller, 91, of Selma, died Friday, November 21, 2003, at a hospital in Columbus, Ga.

Services are at 1 p.m. Friday, November 28, at Ebenezer Baptist Church with the Rev. F.D. Reese officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include six daughters, Elnora (Rev. Roster) Jones of Dillion, S.C., Dillie Fuller of Montgomery, Maggie (Rev. Johnny) Wright of Seale, Lou Della Fuller of Leeds, Ella (David) Dickson of Lansing, Mich., and Leola M. Fuller of Selma; sisters-in-law, Rebecca Wells of Long Beach, Calif., Julia Boggs of Mobile, Iola English of Akron, Ohio, Lavada Fair of Mobile; seven grandchildren, Darly Dixon of Dillion, S.C., Rodger (Kianne’ Nicole) Muschett of Memphis Tenn., Romona Wright of Smyma, Ga., John (Mary Ann) Wells of Selma, Conschetta and Katherine Wright of Seale; six great-grandchildren; three sons-in-law; three brothers-in-law; and four sisters-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Queenie Englis Fuller, parents, Nora and Dellavin Fuller and five siblings.

Active pallbearers are Ebenezer Baptist Church deacons and associate ministers.

Mr. Fuller, was born in Perryville. He was licensed into the ministry in 1979 at Ebenezer Baptist Church under the Rev. F.D. Reese. He served as associate minister prior to being called in the ministry. He served as deacon and was a member of the Senior Choir. He had a love for gospel music and sang with a gospel group in Perry and Dallas counties for several years. He served in World War II. He attended Tuskegee Institute Training School and received a trade in alteration and tailoring. He worked with in the military tailoring shop under the late Lawrence Lighting. He preached out of his home for several years. He was employed with Cleveland Table Factory until his retirement. He performed other jobs throughout the community.

James Rodney Howard

James Rodney &uot;Lil Man&uot; &uot;Spoon&uot; Howard, 23, of Selma, died Wednesday, November 19, 2003, in Selma.

Services are 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, at Shiloh Baptist Church, with the Rev, Charles Howard officiating, Burial will follow in Figtree Baptist Church Cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his parents, James A. and Crystean Howard; one son, Rashaad Clay, two daughters, Mya Morrow and Timia Clay; one brother, Elgin Quinn Howard; and one sister, Sonja Sanae Howard.

Active pallbearers are Jerold Murphy, Maurice Barlow and Ronald Pettway.

Wade Johnson

Wade Johnson, 76, of Selma, died Thursday, November 20, 2003, at a local hospital.

Graveside services were

Sunday, Nov. 23, at New Live Oak Cemetery with the Rev. Frank Calloway officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his wife, Ida Nell Johnson; a daughter, Patricia J. Jordan; son, Sidney Wade Jordan of Apalaichacola, Fla.; granddaughters, Alicia Jordan Middlebrooks and Christie Johnson of Mississippi; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Middlebrooks and Abby Middlebrooks; a brother, Jim Johnson and a sister, Mary Tommie Mayfield.

Mr. Johnson, was a devoted father and husband. He worked in the civil service for many years at Craig Air Force Base. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Dorothy Mae Logan Robertson

Dorothy Mae Logan Robertson, 82, of Marion, died Sunday, November 23, 2003.

Memorial service are at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, at Siloam Baptist Church in Marion. Burial will follow in Marion Cemetery with Kirk Funeral Homes of Marion directing.

Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Robertson of Marion; sons, Ronnie Robertson of Marion, Sam Robertson and wife Gail of Prattville and Jim Robertson and wife Judy of Birmingham; five grandchildren, Michelle Turner of Hoover, Laura McGowin of Prattville, Kevin Cook of Centreville, Sheri Robertson of

Dallas, Texas and Kimberly Cook of Athens, Ga.; and four great-grandchildren, Miranda Cook, Megan Turner, Holden McGowin and Anna Maree Cook.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James Carlton Robertson and her parents, Samuel Eiland Logan and Martha Isobel Massey Logan.

Family visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25, at Kirk Funeral Homes, Marion.

Mrs. Robertson was born on December 5, 1921 in Sprott, she grew up and lived most of her life in Perry County. She also lived in Selma and Marion Junction, Forest Park, Ga., and Tibbie Island, Ga. She was one of the co-founders, of the Cub Scout program in Marion, in October 1953, and was an active committee member and Den Mother for 8 years. She was a recipient of the Den Mother Key award. She served as a Brownie Troop Leader. Mrs. Robertson was a long time member of Siloam Baptist Church. She was a member of the Marion Business and Professional Women Club and of the Hospital Auxiliary

She was previously employed by the Clayton County Sheriff, Forest Park, Ga., and Southland Nursing Home, Marion.
