Virginia Vaughan

Virginia Vaughan, 89, of Demopolis, died Friday, October 31, 2003, at a Birmingham hospital.

Services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 8, at the Chapel of Larkin and Scott Funeral Home with the Rev. Ralph Hunter officiating. Burial followed in Memorial Cemetery, Demopolis, with Larkin and Scott Funeral Home directing.

Sylvia Sodder Willcox

Sylvia Sodder Willcox, 94, of Montgomery, died on Wednesday, November 5, 2003, at her home.

No services will be held, it was her wish to donate her body to science.

Survivors include her daughters, Sharon L. Wehr (her loving caretaker) of Montgomery and Sondra J. (Elmer) Dildy of Selma; grandchildren, Vicki (Kurt) Kilponen of Tyler, Jonni (Marvin) Tindoll, Dena L. Dildy of Niceville, Fla., Dale Beach, Dane (Sonya) Beach of Montgomery, Kyle Dildy, Dana L. (Scott) Phillips of Selma; great-grandchildren, Lane Frazer of Niceville, Fla., Trinity Beach of Montgomery, Preston Phillips and Kathryn Elizabeth Dildy of Selma.

She was preceded in death by her husband the late Gene Willcox, and two sons, Thomas Dale and Samuel Eugene Willcox Jr.

Minnie Jackson

Minnie &uot;Bell&uot; Jackson, 77, of Demopolis, died Friday, October 31, 2003, at her home.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 8, at Christian Chapel Baptist Church, Demopolis, with the Rev. Fred Moore officiating. Burial followed in Memorial Cemetery, Demopolis, with Larkin and Scott Funeral Home directing.

Bettie Jay Pugh

Bettie Jay Pugh, 96, of Selma, died Thursday, November 6, 2003.

Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 8, at New Live Oak Cemetery with Father Mark Vincent officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include several nieces, nephews and a host of friends that loved and took care of her.

Honorary pallbearers are employees of Wiregrass Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wiregrass Hospice.

Mrs. Pugh was a member of Valley Grande Baptist Church.
