Regardless of whether it’s night or day, the new sign at Victor Nissan is hard to miss.

The sign comes into view before reaching the intersection of Broad Street and Highland Avenue. Work on the red and white sign began in mid-September and was completed last week.

Till noted that the sign includes Nissan’s new logo. In addition to that change, the company’s line-up of cars has also underwent a number of changes. Now Nissan carries full-size sport utility vehicles and full-size trucks. &uot; It’s the first year they’ve had that,&uot; Till added.

Johnny Stewart, general manager with Victor Nissan, said the firm used to have vehicles from Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep, but after the recent changes Nissan is now the only type of car available.

According to Till, the changes began at Victor Nissan in May when Chrysler was discontinued. Till said Victor Nissan owner Jerry Victor contacted Nissan representatives and said he would deal only in Nissans. In response, Nissan committed to installing the new sign.

Before the sign was erected, a cement foundation was made. It had to sit for about two weeks before the sign was installed.

Stewart agreed and added that inventory would be increased threefold. Currently the most popular Nissan model is the Altima, a mid-sized four-door.

Till said Victor Nissan had special interest rates and rebates that extended to several car models on the lot.
