The Wal-Mart Supercenter on Highland Ave. has long boasted to be a place for &uot;one-stop&uot; shopping. With the newest edition to the store, it seems this motto is being put into action.

Wal-Mart held a grand opening on Thursday for the store’s Personal Business Center, which will serve almost as a mini-post office.

The center is a place where customers can do everything from buy stamps to ship packages through FedEx and UPS.

Victor Morrow, store manager, said the Selma Wal-Mart is only the fourth one in the state to offer the business center.

The center will serve as a central place to buy and send money orders, cash paychecks, and buy boxing and envelopes for shipping.

Wal-Mart employees and customers who stopped by the center for the ribbon-cutting ceremony were treated to slices of cake and an opportunity to ask questions about how the center will operate.

Fagan said he is proud of the success of the Selma Wal-Mart and feels certain the store will be in the community for a very long time.

The center is now fully operational and will be available during normal business hours to handle the needs of customers.
