The Toros traveled to White Hall to face the best team in the Lowndes County Amateur Baseball League.

The Tigers enjoy an impressive home field advantage and they made the most of it.

White Hall smacked a trio of home runs off of two Selma pitchers on their way to an 8-3 win Saturday afternoon.

The Toros offense never got up and running.

They banged out 10 hits but stranded several runners in scoring position.

Fred Bryant led the Toros attack.

He doubled, tripled and walked twice.

He scored a run as well.

Starting pitcher Chris McGraw doubled, walked and scored a run to help his own cause.

Pete Stephenson singled and jacked a solo home run.

Davey Thomas, Skweta Donner and Justin Morgan all went deep for the Tigers.

McGraw took the loss for Selma despite seven strikeouts.

Selma drew first blood.

McGraw walked with one out and Bryant followed with a double.

Joe Rudolph followed with a single and Selma had

a 1-0 lead.

No runs were scored in the bottom of the first or top of the second.

White Hall took the lead in the bottom of the second.

Daryl Pollard singled and Donner spanked a two-run homer over the short fence.

In the third, Bryant walked, took second on a wild pitch, stole third and scored on a passed ball to tie the game.

A Rashard Gamble single and a Thomas double combined with a pair of Selma errors to get two more Tiger runs home.

Morgan ripped a solo homer in the bottom of the fourth to help his own cause.

Eric Nelson led off the bottom of the fifth with a walk.

He stole second and came home on a Thomas single.

Trailing 6-2, Selma had a chance to get back in the game in the top of the seventh.

Stephenson cracked a ball to the gap in left field for a solo homer.

McGraw followed with a double to right.

He took third on a wild pitch with nobody out.

A strikeout, a pop up and a hard-hit line drive ended Selma’s threat.

Gamble led off the bottom of the inning with a double and Thomas followed with a homer for the final runs of the game.

Selma will plays their final home game of the regular season Saturday at Bloch Park.

Game time is 3:30 p.m. and it is fan appreciation day at the ball park.

Selma falls to 4-4 with the loss.
