It may be by the thinnest of margins, but the Selma 13-year-old All-Stars just keep winning.

For the second day in a row, the Stars got a run in the bottom of the seventh inning to claim a win in the Dixie Youth Baseball State Tournament Monday.

Facing the host Boaz team, Selma broke a 4-4 tie in the bottom of the seventh.

Darrius Steele led off with a triple and Jamarious Strong knocked him home with the game winning single.

The loser’s brackett win means Selma advanced to play again Wednesday night while Boaz’s season was finished.

Blake Robinson singled, doubled and scored twice in the winning effort. Clint Maroney singled and scored twice for Selma as well.

Justin Brown added a hit for Selma.

Josh Clark pitched six strong innings for Selma. James Bennett came on and took the win in the second inning.

Selma took the lead in the bottom of the first.

Robinson led off with a single and quickly stole second. He moved to third on a Maroney single and scored on a wild pitch.

Maroney stole second. He took third and scored on a pair of wild pitches.

A solo home run got Boaz on the board in the top of the third.

Selma answered with two more runs in the bottom of the inning.

Josh Clark singled and took second on a wild pitch.

Robinson followed with an RBI double.

He took third on a ground out and eventually scored on a wild pitch.

Boaz got a run in the fourth and two more in the sixth to tie the game at four.

Selma had a chance to regain the lead in the bottom of the inning.

Maroney lead off with a single and moved over on an error.

After a groundout, Brown singled.

Bennett reached base on a grounder to third, but Maroney was gunned down at the plate.

Selma held Boaz in the seventh, setting up Strong and Steele for the win.
