The newly renovated administration offices at Vaughan Regional Medical Center may have given employees a nice place to work and plenty of added space, but the walls of the office were drab and boring.

So Barbara Dunn, Vaughan’s director of marketing and public relations, decided to spruce up the place with plenty of local flair.

So Dunn decided to team up with the Selma Art Guild Gallery and turn the plain brown walls into an exhibit of extraordinary talent.

Paintings by local artists Frances Lanier, Judy Holiday, Robert Baines and Robin Rogers were placed on display Thursday afternoon.

Joe Taylor, co-president of the Art Guild, said the paintings in the Vaughan offices will be changed out every three months.

Dunn said she decided to partner with the gallery because the works represented the city and other places the hospital serves.

Eventually a wide mix of local artwork will be seen inside the Vaughan offices, which will include anything for watercolors and acrylics to pottery and small sculptures.
