Ronald Spears

Ronald Spears, 33, of Selma, died Friday, May 30, 2003.

Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, at Second Baptist Church with the Rev. Darryl Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Jones Spears; parents, Ovetta S. Jenkins and Verdell Spears; one son, Martavious Spears; one daughter, Myeshia Spears; four brothers, Berdell Spears, James Spears, Timothy Spears and Patrick Hatcher; three sisters, Stacey Spears, Jessica Spears and Jocylin Kennedy; one brother-in-law; seven nephews; and two nieces.

Active pallbearers are family and friends.

Mary Lee Lynn

Mary Lee Lynn, 95, of Selma, died Sunday, June 1, 2003 at a local nursing home.

Graveside services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jun 4, at Pineview Memory Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Al Finch officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include two daughters, Virginia C. Garrison

and Peggy (Danny) York both of Selma; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Active pallbearers are David Kirby, Danny York, David White and Winfred Brown.

Honorary pallbearers are doctors at Selma Medical Associates and Dr. David Hodo.

Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, at Lawrence Funeral Home.

Jane Elinore Munson Elkins

Jane Elinore Munson Elkins, 86, of Dallas County, died Thursday, May 29, 2003 at her home.

Private service for family members was held in her home.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, James V. Elkins; three sons, David J. Elkins, Richard (Karen) Elkins and Michael V. Elkins; one daughter, Linda (Ed) Gardner; four granddaughter, Tammy Elkins, Wendy Schubert, Kellie (Richard) Combs and Brandi Gardner; three grandsons, Wade Elkins, Jimmy (Sheba) Gardner and Ricky Elkins; six great-grandchildren, Genevieve (Sean) Camus, Holly Ziegler, Samantha Thompson, Michael Schubert, Colton Elkins and Sierra Gardner one great-great-grandchild, Tony Ziegler.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Camp Bluebird, a Cancer Retreat.

Mrs. Elkins will be greatly missed by her husband, who loved her dearly until death did them part.
