Roberta Goldsby Holt

Roberta Goldsby Holt, 78, of Selma, died Friday, April 23, 2004, at a local hospital.

Services are at 2 p.m. Friday, April 30, at the Chapel of Miller Funeral Home with the Rev. C.A. Lett officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include two sons, John L. Goldsby of Marietta, Ga., and Roosevelt Goldsby of Selma; one daughter, Harriett Goldsby of Inwood, N.Y.; one sister, Louberta Mims of Oakland, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law; one sister-in-law; and a host of nephew, nieces and other relatives.

Active pallbearers are Eric Goldsby, Marcus Goldsby, Bradley Goldsby, Brian Goldsby, Byron Goldsby-Saddler and Byron Saddler.

Ruth Johnson Mixon

Ruth Johnson Mixon, 55, of Selma, died Monday, April 26, 2004, at her home.

Services are at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 1, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. J.D. Allison officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Mixon; one brother, Eddie D. Johnson; one sister, Mary Evelyn Morrow; eight brothers-in-law; eight sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Jeffrey and Mary Johnson and one son, Norman Patrick Johnson.

Active pallbearers are nephews.
