Tyrone Stallworth’s bond has been reduced to $50,000.

Stallworth, 18, is charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied building. The charge stems from an alleged incident at George Washington Carver Homes Feb. 23, 2003.

District Court Judge Nathaniel Walker heard testimony on the case Tuesday, according to Assistant District Attorney Joseph Fitzpatrick. Tracey Denise Curtis, the

victim, and her 8-year-old daughter testified before the judge. Selma Police Department Detective Tommy Buford also delivered testimony on Tuesday.

He added that the defense argued Stallworth’s bond &045;&045; originally $125,000 &045;&045; was excessive. Fitzpatrick argued it was reasonable since Stallworth was out on bond at the time for a previous shooting incident .

Stallworth is currently in the Dallas County Jail.

Statute states that it’s a federal offense to discharge a firearm within 1,000 feet of a school zone. Fitzpatrick noted Stallworth’s case would be investigated by an Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms agent.

According to reports, Tracey Denise Curtis was visited by Stallworth the evening of Feb. 23, 2003. Stallworth allegedly took Curtis’ phone and threw it to the sidewalk, destroying it.

Stallworth also allegedly threatened to kill Curtis.

Later the same evening, Stallworth allegedly returned to Curtis’ residence and fired into her home.

An officer at the scene stated one bullet hole was found in the front door, but three rounds were heard fired.

Curtis’ two children &045;&045; aged eight and four &045;&045; were inside the home at the time of the alleged shooting.
