Irby Clifton Averette

Irby Clifton Averette, 72, of Maplesville, died Friday, April 18, 2003 at a hospital.

Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Monday, April 18, Spring Hill Cemetery with the Rev. C.M. Langford officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby L. Averette of Maplesville; sons, Robert (Robin) Averette of Tuscaloosa and Michael (Angela) Averette of Ft. Payne; daughters, Doris (Russell) Champion of Camden, Marlene (Vic) Quigley of Selma, Theresa Averette of Tuscaloosa, Christine (Mike) Chappelle of Plantersville, Sherry (Gary) Bennett and Jeannie Averette both of Selma; sisters, Birdie Lee Day of Jones and Florence McCullough of Waco, Texas; mother-in-law, Elvie Langford; brother-in-law, C.M. Langford and sisters-in-law, Ruth Cole and Gracie Johnson all of Tuscaloosa; 21 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephew.

Active pallbearers are Mike Chappelle, Vic Quigley, Gary Bennett, Billy Strawn, Russell and Billy Green.

Margaret Josephine Seymour McCune

Margaret Josephine &uot;Peggy&uot; Seymour McCune, 80, of San Antonio, Texas, died Sunday, April 20, 2003 in a San Antonio, Texas nursing home.

Services are at 11 a.m. Friday April 25, at Church of Resurrection Episcopal in San Antonio, Texas.

Survivors include two daughters, Carol Ann McCune Link of Titusville, Fla., and Nancy Elizabeth McCune Moore San Antonio, Texas; one grandson, John Garard McCune Jr. of Selma six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Family visitation will follow the service at a reception in the parish hall.

The family request flowers be omitted and suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association or to one’s favorite charity.
