When running from police always be sure to keep your pants with you.

Quinton Nero Strong, 26, allegedly left a pair of blue jeans hanging from a fence when attempting to elude Selma Police Department officers around 2 p.m. Thursday. Officers Clyde Carter and Brian Nichols &045;&045; after apprehending Strong &045;&045; returned to the pants and found what appeared to be two ounces of powdered cocaine and one ounce of crack cocaine. The powdered cocaine was estimated to be worth $3,000; the crack-cocaine $1,200.

Strong also allegedly had more than $1,000 in cash.

Hinson said members of the narcotics unit approached 1513 Lawrence St. with a search warrant Thursday afternoon. Entry was gained into the house and two women found, Onetia Strong, 27, and a 16-year-old juvenile.

Officer Sandra Washburn found a large, partially smoked marijuana cigarette on the juvenile and a plastic bag filled with marijuana on Onetia Strong.

Hinson said the estimated street value of the marijuana was $50.

Officers Clyde Carter and Brian Nichols, who were assisting the narcotics unit, observed a black male &045;&045; later identified by police as Quinton Strong &045;&045; run from the back of the house. He allegedly jumped a nearby fence in an effort to escape, but some jeans he had been carrying got stuck on the fence.

Strong was wearing pants when he was apprehended by police.

Quinton and Onetia Strong, along with the juvenile, were brought into custody. Hinson said the juvenile was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana second degree, and will now proceed through the juvenile court system.

Onetia Strong was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana second degree. Her bond was set at $500.

Quinton Strong was charged with both a felony count of trafficking cocaine and a felony count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance without a tax stamp. Total bond was set at $60,000.

Quinton Strong made bond Thursday.
