Henry Lee Moore

Henry Lee Moore, 56, of Selma, died Monday, March 8, 2004, at a local hospital.

Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 13, at West Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. J. T. Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his wife, Betty J. Moore; his mother, Mary Lee Moore; five sons, Tony Moore, Henry L. Moore Jr., Garry D. Chambers, Angelo E. Harville and Dewan L. Chambers; three daughters, Jacqueline Moore, Shanika Chambers and Sandra Alexander; three brothers, Johnny Moore Charles Moore and Walter Williams; four sisters, Willie Mae Walker, Doris Holmes, Mary James and Gloria McGuire; 16 grandchildren; four daughters-in-law; six brothers-in-law; five sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces and nephews, uncles and aunts.

Active pallbearers are Angelo Harville, Dewan Chambers, Richard Sturdivant, Anthony Ford, Marvin Robinson.

Honorary pallbearer is Johnny Harville Jr.

Mr. Moore was a loving husband, father and friend. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church, Selma. All who knew him, knew he was a man of his word and putting others first. He loved golf and was an avid player with many trophies and plaques. He was employed with the Country Club for 40 years, and that was like heaven to him.

Infant Angel Thurman

Infant Angel Thurman, died Friday, March 5, 2004, at a local hospital.

Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, at Scott Memorial Cemetery in Jefferson, with the Rev. Bailey Dawson Sr. officiating and Larkin and Scott Funeral Home directing.

James P. Shields

James P. Shields, of Maplesville, died Friday, March 5, 2004.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 13, at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, Maplesville, with the Rev. Donald L. Nix officiating and Agee Brothers Funeral Home of Clanton directing.

Survivors include a loving and devoted wife, Alma Jean; his girls, Jacqueline Sullivan of Maplesville, Charlotte (Alphonso) Elliott of Sardis, Mary (Ray) Mitchell and Beverly Shields both of Maplesville; five grandchildren, Perry D. Sullivan Jr. (PJ) of Clanton, Anthony Sullivan (Amp) of Tuscaloosa, Latoya Lester (Toy), Jasmine Mitchell (Jazz) and Damian Mitchell (Montey) all of Maplesville; special son-in-law, Perry D. Sullivan of Maplesville; one brother, Ernest (Faye) Shields of Maplesville; two sisters, Alice Young of Maplesville and Lila Oliver of Montgomery; one special uncle, Isaac Sulsor of Birmingham; mother-in-law, Adelaide Morrow of Selma; special cousin, Martha Alice Brown of Forest City, Ark.; seven sisters-in-law; eight brothers-in-law; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in one sister, Mary Louise Shields.

Mr. Shields was born on Feb. 28, 1940, to the late James and Mary Lee Shields. As a young boy, he was baptized and became a member of Pilgrim Rest.

He attended Chilton County Training School in Clanton. He later served for a short time in the United States Army. On Sept. 17, 1960, he married Alma Jean Morrow.

Mr. Shields was a faithful employee of Blow Out Tire Company in Maplesville for over 25 years. He was later employed with B&V Veneer Company in Maplesville, until

his health failed.

James Oliver Lenoir

James Oliver &8220;Jim&8221; Lenoir, 76, of Billingsley, died Tuesday, March 9, 2004, in Prattville.

Services are at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 11, at Mt. Carmel #2 Baptist Church, Maplesville, with the Rev. William Short and the Rev. Lynn Roe officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Maplesville with Martin Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include two sons, James Arthur (Boogie) Lenoir of Freeport, Fla., and David Lee Lenoir Hope Hull; one daughter, Jeanette Lenoir Hughes of Billingsley; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
