Paul Jermaine Molette

Paul Jermaine Molette, 21, of Dallas County, died Friday, Feb. 28, 2003.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at Morning Star M.B. Church with the Rev. B.T. Booker officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include a loving and devoted mother, Jacqueline Molette; a sister, Kayla Molette; one brother, Kirby Molette all of Selma; a devoted second family, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur L. Brown of Selma; three god-brothers, Andrae D. Brown of Afghanistan, Boris B. Brown of Birmingham and Artie Brown of Selma; one god-sister, Valeria Brown of Selma; a nephew, Roderick &uot;R.J.&uot; Sallie; grandmother, Annie Molette of Tuskegee; grandfather, Benjamin Ross Sr. of Selma; three uncles, Benjamin Ross Jr. of Selma, Percy Molette of Stone Mountain, Ga., and Edward Jones of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; one great-uncle, Dennis Law of Selma; four great-aunts, Ola Bell Morgan of Selma, Pinkie B. Lewis of Chicago, Ill., Josephine Acoff of Cleveland, Ohio and Thelma Ross of Birmingham; and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.

Mr. Molette was preceded in death by his father, Paul Jerome Molette.

Rosa Bell Hall

Rosa Bell Hall, of Selma, died Sunday, March 2, 2003, at a local hospital.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, Mar. 8, at New Sister Spring Baptist Church, 435 Co. Rd. 67, with the Rev. Paul Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in he church cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include a caring and devoted daughter Earline McConico; five step-daughters, Susie Hall, Dorothy McAlpine, Mary (Johnny) McQuire, Alma (Wilbert) Thorton, Ceola (George) Gaylor; one god-daughter; Willie Nell Haynes; one great god-son; DJuan (Kim) Davis; two step-sons, Johnny (Betty) Hall and Abner (Nettie) Hall; one daughter-in-law: Dorothy Hall; five sister-in-laws, Susie Ishman, Etta Brown, Cornelia L. Byrd, Susie McConico and Thelma Robinson; 10 grand children, Wilma Dudley, Anthony, Darrell, Janice, Patrick and Rickey Hall, Ronald, Shirley, Subriana and Wilbert McConico; 15 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; a special friend, Mrs. Sadie Fields; and a host of nieces nephew, cousins and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father and one son, David Hall Jr.

Mrs. Hall was born April 24, 1914 in Wilcox County. She confessed her love for Christ at an early age and joined the Anitoch Baptist Church in Snow Hill. After moving to Selma she joined the Church of Christ. She later moved her membership to the New Sister Spring Baptist Church where she was a member of the Senior Choir and served faithfully until her health failed her.

She was united in holy matrimony to the late David Hall Sr.

Gladys Jenkins

Gladys Jenkins, 81, of Dallas County, died Friday, Feb. 28, 2003, at a Selma hospital.

Services are at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Oak Hill, with the Rev. Julius Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include four sons, John (Jessie) Ramsey, Booker (Beatrice) Jenkins all of Cincinnati, Ohio, Julius Jenkins and Jimmy (Ovetta) Jenkins all of Selma; one daughter, Patricia (Anthony) Robinson of Selma; one brother, Lloyd Sims of Miami, Fla.; one sister, Evie Hampton of Cincinnati, Ohio; 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one son-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Active pallbearers are grandsons and friends.

Aaron R. Whitt

Aaron R. Whitt, 67, of Uniontown, died Friday, Feb. 28, 2003, at a Selma hospital.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at Shady Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Frank Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Flowers Cemetery with White Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his wife Viola Whitt; parents Henry and Rachael Whitt; one son, Curtis Lee Whitt; four brothers, Booker T. Whitt, Will Danielfield, Robert Danielfield and James Danielfield; five grandchildren; two grandchildren; five brothers-in-law; and six sisters-in-law;

Ada Calhoun

Ada Calhoun, 91, of Selma, died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003, at a local nursing home.

Services are at 12 noon Saturday, Mar. 8, at Second Baptist Church with the Rev. D. Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.

Millie Campbell

Services for Millie Campbell, 86, of Boligee will

be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Mar. 8, 2003 at Christian Valley Baptist Church, Boligee with the Rev. Terrell Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Taylor Place Cemetery, Boligee, with Larkin and Scott Funeral Home of Demopolis directing.

Zora Maye

Services for Zora Maye, 90, of Coatopa, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Mar. 8, 2003, at Dugg Hill P. B. Church, Coatopa, with the Rev. John Wright officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Larkin and Scott Funeral Home of Demopolis directing.

Family visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.

Horace McBride

Horace McBride, 59, of Chicago, Ill, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2003 in Chicago, Ill.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, Mar. 8, at Good Hope Baptist Church, Pleasant Hill, with the Rev. Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.

Alberta Nelson

Alberta Nelson, 96, of Autauga County, died Monday, Mar. 3, 2003 at a Selma hospital.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, Mar. 8, at Mallard Chapel Church with the Rev. Curry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.

Betty H. Dawson

Betty H. Dawson, 58, of Selma, died Tuesday, Mar. 4, 2003 at a local hospital.

Services are at11 a.m. Monday, Mar. 10, at Morning Star M.B. Church with the Rev. Booker T. Booker Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her husband, Robert W. Dawson Sr.; one son, Robert Dawson Jr. (Donyell) of Ft. Braggs, N.C.; one step-son, Bertram Vaughan (Arnessa) of Ft. Braggs, N.C.; one daughter, Predeen Aiyelawo (Pius) of Ft. Belvoir, Va.; one brother, John E. Henderson (Brenda) of Fairbanks, Alaska; one sister, Frances Johnson (Horace) of Anchorage, Alaska; four grandchildren; one son-in-law; and two daughters-in-law.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Joe N. Henderson Jr.

Active pallbearers are deacons at Morning Star M.B. Church.

Mrs. Dawson was a member of First Baptist Church in Pine Apple. Her parents later move to Clanton, and she then united with Union Baptist Church. In 1956, the family moved to Selma, where she joined Morning Star M.B. Church, where she served faithfully on the Usher Board, Radio Broadcast Ministry, Pastor Aide Board, NBC Board and other auxiliaries in the church.

She worked for over 20 years as a Central Supply technician at Selma Baptist Hospital, and retired in 1999.

Family visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. on Sunday, at Lewis Brothers Funeral Home, 1140 Minter Ave

Earline Alsbrook Greene

Earline Alsbrook Greene, of Mobile, formerly of Selma, died Wednesday, Mar. 5, 2003 with Gilmer’s Funeral Home of Mobile directing.

Graveside services are at 1 p.m. Friday, Mar. 7, at New Live Oak Cemetery.

Survivors include a son, Mike (Marlece) Green of Columbus, Ga.; daughter, Paige (Green) Suttles of Mobile; brother, P.A. Alsbrook Jr. of Selma; a sister, Marie Elias of Tucson, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Heather Conrad and Haley Greene both of Columbus; and one great-grandchild, Emily Grace Conrad.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Leon Greene, and two brothers, Russell and Edward Alsbrook.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial be made to Meals on Wheels.

Wade Wingfield

Services for Wade Wingfield, 86, of Demopolis, will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Mar. 9, at the Chapel of Larkin and Scott Funeral Home with the Rev. Wheeler Merriweather Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Millers Cemetery with Larkin and Scott Funeral Home directing.

Howard Winston

Services for Howard Winston, 60, of Texas, will be held at 12 noon Saturday, Mar. 8, 2003, at Bucks Chapel AME Zion Church, Coatopa, with the Rev. Eddie Coats officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Larkin and Scott Funeral Home directing.
