James Dee Maddox, 91, of Foley, formerly of Selma, died Monday, March 3, 2003, at a Foley hospital.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Lawrence Funeral Home.

Herbert Marion Tucker III

Herbert Marion &uot;Trey&uot; Tucker III, 25, of Marion, died Sunday, March 2, 2003, in Marion.

Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, at Marion United Methodist Church with the Rev. James L. Waters Jr. and Dr. Larry Teasley officiating. Burial will be in Pine Crest Memorial Gardens with Kirk Funeral Homes of Marion directing.

Survivors include his wife, Emily Lamon Tucker, of Marion; his parents, Geralyn Northcutt Tucker and Herb Tucker of Marion; a son, Trent Tucker, of Marion; a brother, Benjamin Tucker, of Marion; a sister, Terri Tucker, of Marion; his maternal grandmother, Flora Northcutt, of Greensboro; and his paternal grandmother, Lillian Tucker, of Marion.

Active pallbearers are Heath Crews, Bryan Crews, Zack Rinehart, Carl Keller, Joe Freeman, James Hess, Johnathan Averette, and Grady Abrams.

Honorary pallbearers are the Marion Volunteer Fire Department, Stuart Abrams and Marshall Hughey.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Trent Tucker Trust Fund, Marion Band and Trust Co., P.O. Box 510, Marion, AL 36756.

Jerry Givan Jr.

Jerry Givan Jr., 50, of Selma, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003.

Services are scheduled for Wednesday, March 5, at 1 p.m. at Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel with Pastor Darryl Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.

He leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife, Priscilla J. Given; three stepdaughters, Tara Johnson, Reda Johnson and Shanta Johnson all of Selma; a stepson, Lonnie Johnson of Long Beach, Calif.; a step-granddaughter, Latange’ Johnson of Selma; a loving mother, Cora Givens; 11 sisters, Mattie Stevenson, Carolyn Shell, Shirley (James) Scott, Ernestine (Leon) Bryant, Christine (Roger) Sparks, Pearlie (Clarence) Gresham all of Selma, Rosie (Willie) Craig and Adeline Grant of Birmingham,

Preceding him in death is father Jerry Givan Sr., sister Patsy Lowe and grandmother Telley Lowe.

Honorary pallbearers are Danny W. Crenshaw, Daryl O. Crenshaw and employees of Campbell Roofing Company.

Jerry was a loyal, dedicated and hard working employee of Campbell Roofing for 25 years. He never missed a day from work. He will be missed by all.
