The Dallas County Hornets picked up another win Tuesday in the Bibb County Tournament against Brookwood High School, 8-3.

The Hornets have been outstanding in the early going with their defensive play, and it has shown in the win column.

Burt Nicholls picked up the win for the Hornets, going five innings and striking out eight.

Leading the way offensively was Nicholls and Jonathan Moorehead. Moorehead went two for four and drove in a run, and Nicholls went two for three and also drove in a run. James Jones went one for four on the day and had a stolen base. Chad Knight finished the day with one hit.
