Rams keep on rolling

Francis Marion 74, Greensboro 53

The Francis Marion rams knocked off Greensboro at home Saturday night in blowout fashion 74-53. With the win the Rams improve their regular season record to 20-7.

The Rams were led by Julius Allgood with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and one blocked shot. Dwayne Woods also had a good game for the Rams putting up 13 points and snagging five rebounds. Billy Williams finished the night very strong for the Rams putting up 16 points, 13 rebounds, four steals, and five assists. Jeremy Arrington had 12 points, two rebounds, and a steal in the game.

The Rams will play their last regular season game at home tonight against Sunshine. They will begin area tournament play Saturday night at Sumter County and their first game will be against Aliceville at 6 p.m.

Westend 61,

Selma High 54

The Selma High Saints fell at the hands of Westend Saturday night 61-54. The loss gives the Saints a 14-12 record at the end of regular season play.

The Saints were led by Jai Miller with 16 points on the night. Brandon Davis finished up with 14 points in the game, and Miguel Harris had 10 points.

The Saints will begin area tournament play on Saturday night at Carver High School in Montgomery at 6 p.m.

Keith 67,

Dallas County 39

The Keith high Bears got the better of Dallas County on Saturday night in the cross county rivalry 67-39.

The Bears were led by Jimmy Richardson with 13 points and 10 rebounds. David Gragg finished the night with 12 points and five assists, and prince Murray had 10 points and five rebounds on the night. Dominique Tamarco Thomas each finished the night with six points.

Central Hayneville 72, Southside 65

The Southside Panthers dropped Saturday night’s game against Central Hayneville 72-65.

The Panthers were led by Nelson Watters with 23 points, 11 rebounds, four steals, and six assists on the night. Jeffrey Anderson also finished strong for the panthers putting up 20 points and snagging five rebounds. JA Marcus Hardy finished up with 10 points, and Cedrick Brown had eight points on the night.

The Panthers finish up area play at 5-1, and will host the area tournament.

Selma High 64, Westend 61

The Selma High Lady Saints finished up the regular season Saturday night knocking off Westend 64-61. With the win the Lady Saints improve their record to 12-7 overall and 5-5 in the area.

The lady Saints were led by Keeonya Smiley with 20 points in the game. Kimberly Wilson finished the night with 18 points and 16 rebounds. Jennifer had 12 points on the night.

The Lady Saints will begin area tournament play this Tuesday at Jeff Davis High School in Montgomery, and they will take on Prattville at 7 p.m.

Junior Varsity

Selma High 43, Westend 35

The Selma High Saints Junior Varsity Boys took on Westend Saturday night. The Saints emerged victorious defeating Westend 43-35. With the win the Saints improve their record to 17-3 on the year.

The Saints were led by Edgar Brown with 14 points. Walter Roper finished the game with 11 points, and Robert Childress had eight points on the night.
