Willie Bell Rush Jr.

Willie Bell Rush Jr., 49, of Lowndes County, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004, at his home.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, at Boughoma Baptist Church with the Rev. Earnest Green officiating.

Burial will follow in the churchyard cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include a loving family, four sons, Willie &8220;Herman&8221; Rush, Kenny &8220;Tiger&8221; Rush, Jatavias Lewis and Sammy &8220;Lil Corey&8221; Lewis, all of Lowndes County; one daughter, Patricia (Chris) Harris of Hayneville; a loving mother, Eula C. Rush; sisters, Annie Nathan of Collirene; Willa Rush of Chicago, Ill., Mary (Charlie) Surles of Whitehall, Brenda (Eddie) Morris, Perman (Phillip) Hardy, Marilyn (Arthur) Rudolph, all of Collirene, Shelia (Roy) Brown of Selma, Yulonda (Antanio) Bonham of Montevallo, Lobrenda (Calvin) Casey and Reshanda Spivey of Trickem.

Elizabeth Leigh Greene Worthington

Elizabeth Leigh Greene Worthington, 46, of Evergreen, known as Libby Leigh died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004, at her home.

Services are at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23, at Elkdale Baptist Church with the Rev. Al Finch and the Rev. Lee Tate officiating. Burial will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery with Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Libby Leigh is survived by her husband, Mickey Carrol Worthington of Evergreen; her daughter, Elizabeth Henley Rice; her son, Walter Blair Rice; her father, Dr. Walter Leith Greene Jr.; her brother, Walter Leigh (Carolyn) Greene III; stepson, Justin Worthington; stepdaughters, Michelle Crane, Lisa Worthington and Randi Wild; two nieces; and one nephew; and a host of friend,

Libby Leigh was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Cotton Greene.

Active pallbearers are Tom Lang, Clint Wilkinson, Matt Duke, Robert Gordon, Robert Ousley and Jon Stewart.

Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Stanley Barnes, Alston Keith, William Connely, John D. Green and Jim Yeargan.

Visitation will be held at Lawrence Brown Funeral Home Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Libby Leigh’s zest for life, her sweet spirit and infectious sense of humor were the mainstay of her family and friends during a thirty-year battle with cancer.

Her love of teaching was surpassed only by her love of family and friends.

Arthur Redrick Jr., 61, of Dayton, Ohio, formerly of Forkland, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004, in Dayton, Ohio.

Services were at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, at the Chapel of Larkin and Scott Funeral Home with the Rev. James Reed officiating. Burial followed in Old Greene Cemetery with Larkin and Scott Funeral Home of Demopolis directing.
