Eleanor Martin Moore

Eleanor Martin Moore, 93, of Selma, died Thursday, January 15, 2004, at a local hospital.

Services are at 12 noon Thursday, January 22, at Ebenezer M.B. Church with the Rev. F.D. Reese officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include one son, Johnnie Moore; three daughters, Virga (Thornell) Downs, Minnie Thomas of Detroit, Mich., and Josie (James) Morrow of Selma; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two sons-in-law.

Active pallbearers are deacons and the Brotherhood of Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Frankie Harris-Watters

Frankie Harris-Watters, 82, of Demopolis, died Thursday, January 15, 2003, at her home.

Services are at 12 noon, on Wednesday, January 21, at Old Green Oak Baptist Church in Forkland, with the Rev. James Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Demopolis, with Larkin and Scott Funeral Home directing.

The body will lie in state at the church on Wednesday, beginning at 11 a.m.

Page Melvin

Page Melvin, of Selma, died Monday, January 19, 2004.

Graveside services are at 3 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, at New Live Oak Cemetery with the Rev. James K. Polk Van Zandt officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include nieces, Mrs. Donald Allen of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. John London of Tuscaloosa; nephew, Donald Frye of Rochester, N.Y.; and a number of great and great-great-nieces and nephews and a wide family connection.

Active pallbearers are great-nephews.

The family request that flowers be omitted.

&8220;Butch&8221; Crawford III, 43, of Selma, died Monday, January 19, 2004.

Graveside services are at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 22, at Pineview Memory Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Taylor, the Rev. Morgan Bailey and the Rev John Davis officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Monta Godwin Crawford; daughter, McKinsey Jesmon Crawford; mother, Clarice Clonts Rives; stepmother, Nita Crawford; brothers, Jody Crawford (Lynn) and David Crawford (Danielle); sister, Leigh Ward Cox (Jimbo); niece, Lindsey Crawford; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse &8220;Bo&8221; Crawford Jr., and his stepfather, W. Jack Rives.

Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.

Mr. Crawford was a devoted Auburn Tiger fan.
