A fire in Orrville on Wednesday ended with no one hurt. However, a one-story brick home was destroyed.

According to Lorenzo Richardson, a member of Orrville’s Volunteer Fire Department, he received a page at 11:30 Wednesday morning alerting him to the blaze on County Road 33.

Richardson was at the scene by 11:36.

Richardson said that when he arrived members of the community were already fighting the fire.

One of the them, a bus driver from Five Points Elementary School, took Richardson back to the fire station so he could get another fire truck.

The truck he arrived in, Richardson said, was left with those trying to stop the fire.

The fire was under control in about 45 minutes and hurt no one, Richardson said.

Richardson added that he didn’t

know what started the fire and the fire wasn’t suspicious, so the state fire marshal wasn’t called.
