Bears shock Saints: Key to Keith’s recent success is heart

The Keith High Bears have been playing like a team renewed since the beginning of 2003, and it showed in their big upset win 71-69 over 6A Selma High Friday night in Orrville. The Bears 8-8 on the year and undefeated since the beginning of the new year have come together, and are playing with something that they lacked in the beginning of the year, &uot;Heart&uot;.

The Saints picked up a huge game from Jai Miller who scored 29 in the outing, but the Bears proved to be too much for them to handle on the night.

The Bears were led by Jimmy Richardson with 20 points and seven rebounds on the night. Charles Jones also had a huge night for the Bears.He picked up 18 points, five rebounds, and four assist in the win. Cedrick Jones was another big factor in helping the Bears get past the night, and he had 10 points, two assists, and went two for two from the free throw line. Prince Murray, and David Gragg both contributed to the win as well, with Murray picking up nine points and Gragg finishing with eight.

The Saints were led on the night by Miller who picked up 29 points in the losing effort. Miguel Harris finished the night with 12 points, and Brandon Davis had eight on the night.

The Bears have a huge test coming up on Tuesday night as they take R.C. Hatch.
