Minnie Pearl Holman

Minnie Pearl Holman, 52, of Selma, died Saturday, January 3, 2004,

at a local hospital.

Services are at 1 p.m. Jan. 10 at the Helping Hands Bible Ministry with the Rev. Willie G. Hains officiating.

Burial will follow at Good Hope Cemetery in Pleasant Hill with J.H. Williams and Sons Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her husband and devoted friend Roosevelt Watts; four sons, earnest (Carolyn) Holman of Hunstville, Ricky Webster of Selma, Terril Holman of Pensacola, Fla., and Marcus (Tasha) Holman of Selma; four daughters, Rosetta Cooper, Marilyn Holman, Susie (Frank) Holman-Carter, Angel (Tommie) Holman-Geiffin, all of Selma; four sisters, Rosie (Jessie) Sullivan, Ellen Webster, Mary Webster, all of Selma, and Irene (CeCe) Varner of Clanton; 25 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Active pallbearers will be friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Susie Lee Fails Webster, and son Terrell Holman.

Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to services.

Tena B. Rudolph

Tena B. Rudolph, 73, of Selma, died Sunday, January 4, 2004, at a local hospital.

Services are at noon on Jan. 10 at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church with the Rev. L.L. Ruffin officiating.

Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery with J.H. Williams and Sons Funeral Home directing.

Active pallbearers include the members of the Twelve High Club.

Honorary pallbearers include the deacons of Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, Second Baptist Church and Shiloh Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to services.

Sophie M. Rudolph

Sophie M. Rudolph, 72, of Selma, died January 2, 2004, at Vaughan Memorial Hospital.

Services will be held January 10, 2004, at 1 p.m. at Selmont Baptist Church. The Rev. D.L. Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery.

Ms. Rudolph is survived by sons, Cawthone Rudolph Jr, Selma; Delapha Rudolph, Clarksville, Tennessee; daughters Annie Q. Milhouse, Brooklyn, New York; Minnie Rudolph, Selma, Mary Fairly, Hinesville, Georgia; Lisa Taylor, Atlanta, Georgia; brothers, Johnny Spivey; Brazil (Billy) Gordon, both of Birmingham; sisters, Mary Gordon, Birmingham; Ruth Gordon Haynes, Elzora Maull; Jessie Gordon; Martha Gordon Melton, Selma; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; four sons-in-law; two brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; 16 nephews; 14 nieces and a host of relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Ms. Rudolph was a member of the Selmont Community Baptist Church and an active member of the Trustee Board.
