Bibb County 64 Dallas County 62

The Dallas County fell to 2-1 in area play Tuesday night losing a close one to Bibb County 64-62.

Leading the way for the Hornets was Clifford Lyons Jr. with 21 points, and Joe Wilson finished the night with 16.

Leading the way for Bibb County was L.J. Chisom with 20 points, and Jeremy Rutlidge finished with 16.

The Hornets will play next in the Dallas County Tournament at 6 p.m. against Keith.

Lanier 70 Selma High 64

The Selma High Saints dropped their second game of the year Tuesday night losing to Lanier 70-64.

The Saints had four players in double figures, with Brandon Davis leading the way with 20 points. Jai Miller finished the night with 12 points, Miguel Harris had 10 points, and Robert Allen finished the night with 11 points.

The Saints will play next in the Blue Gray tournament against St. Jude.

MMI 51 Marengo 28

The MMI Tigers took on the Marengo Academy Longhorns Monday night in Marion. The MMI varsity boy’s squad improved their record to 7-1 defeating the Longhorns 51-28.

The Tigers were led in scoring by Jovorious Smith with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Douglas Fitzgerald finished the night for the Tigers with 10 points.

MMI 32 Marengo 31

Felecia Sprott led the Lady Tigers past the Marengo Academy Longhorns Monday night 32-31. Sprott hit the game winner with one second left on the clock to push the Tigers to victory.

Sprott also led the Tigers in rebounds with 15, she also had eight blocks on the night. Precious Eznana had 12 points on the night for the Tigers, and Yolanda Kelly had 10.

The Dallas County Lady Hornets dropped their game to Bibb County Tuesday night 64-34.

Leading the way for the Lady Hornets was Valencia King with 12 points, and Tallinn King finished up with 10.

Selma High 71 Lanier 58

The Selma High Lady Saints improved their record to 6-1 on Tuesday night defeating Lanier 71-58.

Leading the way for the Saints was Kimberly Wilson with 21 points and 14 rebounds. Ashley Green finished the night with 13 points, and Keeonia Smiley picked up 12.

Jr. Varsity

MMI 28 Marengo 23

The MMI tigers Jr. Varsity team picked up the win against Marengo 28-23 on Monday night.

John Saporito led the Tiges JV team in scoring with 14 points.

Selma High 49 Lanier 40

The Selma High Jr. Varsity squad improved their record to 8-0 picking up the win over Lanier Tuesday night 49-40.

John Daily led the Saints with 23 points. Robert Childress finished the night with nine points.

Bibb County 52 Dallas County 41

The Dallas County Hornets JV team dropped their game Tuesday night 52-41.

The Hornets were down by 12 at the half, and never could recover.

Artelius Dixon led the way for the Hornets with 14 points.
