Beverly Tarver
Beverly Tarver, 43, of New Orleans, La., died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2002 at a hospital in New Orleans, La.
Services are at 12 noon Saturday, Dec. 7, at Isabella Baptist Church, Tyler, Pastor, Kelvin Cockrell Sr. and the Rev. Nathaniel Gaines of New Orleans, La., officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include her mother, Evelyn Tarver of Selma; a son, Michael (Florida) Tarver; three grandchildren, Mishine, Jackie and Michael Jr. all of New Orleans, La.; a sister, Charlene Tarver; four brothers, Willie Edward Tarver, Robert (Barri) Tarver, Burt Tarver all of New Orleans, La., and Ralph (Della) Tarver of Washington, D.C.; and a host of aunt, uncle, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Tarver Sr.
Ms. Tarver was a 1977 graduate of Southside High School. She later moved to New Orleans, La., where she worked as a childcare provider. She was attending Delgado Community College seeking a degree in business administration.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Chapel of Larkin and Scott Funeral Home with the Rev. Mitchell Congress officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery, Demopolis, with Larkin and Scott Funeral Home directing.
Laura Raby
Laura Raby, 88, of Linden, died Monday, Dec. 2, 2002 at a Tuscaloosa hospital.
Services are at 12 noon Saturday, Dec.7, at Hopewell Baptist Church, Linden, with the Rev. Joseph Harper officiating. Burial will follow in McKinley Memorial Gardens, Linden, with Larkin and Scott Funeral Home directing.
The body will lie in state at the church on Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m.
Millie Bean Moore
Millie Bean Moore, 81, of Selma, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002 at a local hospital.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later by J. H. Williams and Sons Funeral Home.
Cephus Walker
Cephus Walker, 86, of Selma, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002 at a local hospital.
Services are at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at the Chapel of Miller Funeral Home, with the Rev. F.D. Reese off. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.
