Lucille McCullough Corley

Lucille McCullough Corley, 70, of Montgomery died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003.

Survivors include daughter Pam Lackey and husband, of Montgomery; grandchildren Nicholas and Timmothy Wilson; brothers Lee McCollough, Alaska; John McCullough, Selma; sisters Louis Hancock of South Carolina; Dean Nichols, Jones and Nettie Hamilton, Montgomery.

Mrs. Corley was preceded in death by her brother, Matthew McCullough.

Active pallbearers will be nieces and grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the building fund at Eastmont Baptist Church, Montgomery.

The family will receive friends at Lawrence Funeral Home Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, from 6 pm to 8 pm. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Lewis ‘Hammer’ Washington

Lewis &uot;Hammer&uot; Washington, 49, of Powder Springs, Ga., formerly of Forkland, died Nov. 22, 2003, at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Ga.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, at 1 pm at the Lloyd Chapel Baptist Church, Forkland. The Rev. Clayborn May will officiate. Internment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

Viewing will occur at the church on Saturday at noon.

Larkin and Scott Funeral Directors are handling the arrangements.

Herbert Johnson, Jr.

Herbert Johnson, Jr., 59, of Demopolis, died Nov. 24, 2003, at his home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, at 1 pm at the Friendship Baptist Church, Demopolis. Rev. Henry Thomas will officiate. Burial will follow in the Zion Hill Cemetery, Coatopa. Viewing will be held at the church on Saturday, at noon. Larkin and Scott Funeral Directors will handle the arrangements.

Danelle Reynolds Lawrence Garrison

Danelle Reynolds Lawrence Garrison, 62, of Plantersville died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, at a local hospital.

Services are at 10 am Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, in the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with the Rev. Ira Blanchard and Peter A. Blair officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph Eugene Garrison, Plantersville; son Paul Eugene Garrison, wife Doris, of Aalen, Germany; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Garrison Averitt, husband Randall, Selma; grandchildren, Brad Averitt; Katherine Averitt, both of Selma; Sarah Garrison, Kevin Garrison, Joshua Garrison and Amy Garrison, all of Aalen, Germany and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Garrison was the daughter of Paul Barnette Lawrence and Mary Alice Reynolds of Selma. Her stepfather, Matthew Vivian Waugh, Jr., is from Selma as well.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Elbert Barnette Lawrence. Active pallbearers include, Edward T. Morrow, Walter M. Stoudenmire, M.A. Pearson, Jr., Dan Godwin, David Phillips and Dana Hollis. Honorary pallbearers are members of Mt. Pleasant Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church’s cemetery fund. The family will receive friends at their residence in Plantersville from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 28, 2003.
