Elijah W. Fuller

Rev. Elijah W. Fuller, 91, of Selma, died Friday, November 21, 2003, at a hospital in Columbus, Ga.

Services are at 1 p.m. Friday, November 28, at Ebenezer Baptist Church with the Rev. F.D. Reese officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include six daughters, Elnora (Rev. Roster) Jones of Dillion, S.C., Dillie Fuller of Montgomery, Maggie (Rev. Johnny) Wright of Seale, Lou Della Fuller of Leeds, Ella (David) Dickson of Lansing, Mich., and Leola M. Fuller of Selma; sisters-in-law, Rebecca Wells of Long Beach, Calif., Julia Boggs of Mobile, Iola English of Akron, Ohio, Lavada Fair of Mobile; seven grandchildren, Darly Dixon of Dillion, S.C., Rodger (Kianne’ Nicole) Muschett of Memphis Tenn., Romona Wright of Smyma, Ga., John (Mary Ann) Wells of Selma, LaShundra Rochelle Dixon of Cincinnati, Ohio, Conschetta and Katherine Wright of Seale; six great-grandchildren; three sons-in-law; three brothers-in-law; and four sisters-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Queenie English Fuller, parents, Nora and Dellavin Fuller and five siblings.

Active pallbearers are Ebenezer Baptist Church Deacons and Assoc. Ministers.

Rev. Fuller, was born in Perryville. He was licensed into the ministry in 1979 at Ebenezer Baptist Church under Rev. F.D. Reese. He served as associate minister prior to being called in the ministry. He served as deacon and was a member of the Senior Choir. He had a love for gospel music and he sang with a gospel male group in Perry and Dallas County for several years. Rev. Fuller, served in World War II. He attended Tuskegee Institute Training School and received a trade in alteration and tailoring. He worked with in the military tailoring shop under the late Lawrence Lighting, and continued to practice his skills out his home for several years. He was employed with Cleveland Table Factory until his retirement. He performed other jobs throughout the community.

Evelyn Stevens Hall

Evelyn Stevens Hall, 95, of Selma, died Monday, November 24, 2003, at a local nursing home.

Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, at New Live Oak Cemetery with the Rev. Sandy Simmons officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her god-child, Christine Fraser Teaney; and many friends, including Patricia and Dannie Tharp, Anne and Ken Fraser, Bob and Donna Adams, Francis Caine and her son and daughter-in-law, Drury and Virginia Caine, Jule Randolph Jones Perrin and Jim and Pat McPherson and their families.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to the Dallas County Public Library or Wire Grass Hospice.
