Philip Anthony Trammell

Philip Anthony &uot;Flip&uot; Trammell, 51, a native of Selma and longtime resident of Chickasaw, died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003, after a brief illness.

Graveside services are 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, at Serenity Memorial Gardens in Mobile.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fletcher Porter Trammell.

Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Phyllis Ann Friday Trammell of Chickasaw; a daughter, Pamela (Mike) Richardson of Chickasaw; a son, Phlip Anthony &uot;Tony&uot; Trammell of Chickasaw; his mother, Virginia Hutto Trammell of Selma; four brothers, James (Gayle) Porter Trammell of Semmes, John David (Betty) Trammell of Selma, Jesse Andrew (Kay) Trammell of Tallahassee, and Kelly Aaron Trammell of Miami; and two sisters, Virginia LuAnn Alcantra of Jacksonville, and Tammy Rebekka Trammell of Selma.

Mr. Trammell graduated from Dallas County High School in 1970. He played football and baseball and was on the 1969-70 state championship baseball team. He was an avid sports fan and he loved Alabama football. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend. He was employed by Patterson’s Starter and Radiator. He was formerly employed by Strachan Services and Porter Radiator Serivce.

Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, at Serenity Memorial Gardens.
