Free concert to night

The United States Air Force Band of the Rockies Stellar Brass will conclude a tour of Alabama with a performance in Pickard Auditorium tonight.

Free tickets to the show are available at The Times-Journal office at 1018 Water Ave.

Stellar Brass is a unique group that combines a brass quintet with percussion. They play anything from Renaissance music to modern popular tunes and old-time favorites.

With this performance, a Senior Msgt. Dale Jones will play with the group on oboe and bagpipes, which includes a performance of &uot;Amazing Grace.&uot;

This is the Stellar Brass’s first trip to Alabama, and they have visited Andulusia, Montgomery, Alex City and Gadsden.

They will return to Colorado Springs, Colo., after this trip.

Przyzycki added that if people missed out on picking up tickets at the Selma Times-Journal office prior to the show, they can still come and watch.

For those interested in coming to the concert and do not have a ticket, they need to be outside of Pickard Auditorium by 15 minutes prior to concert time.

The concert begins at 7 p.m.
