Robert Lamar Pierce Jr.

Robert Lamar Pierce Jr., 55, of Selma, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002 at a Birmingham hospital.

Services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with the Rev. Willard Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens Cemetery with Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include, his mother, Verma L. Guthrie; stepfather, Floyd Guthrie; sons, Robert C. Pierce, David E. Pierce and Bobby Williams all of Selma; daughter, Tammi Chandler of Maplesville; grandchildren, J. R. Chandler, Miranda Chandler both of Maplesville, Rebecca Pierce, Shannon Pierce and Cory Parton of Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Pierce Sr.

Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Annie Emma Saunders

Annie Emma Saunders, of Selma, died Monday, Nov. 18, 2002 at a local hospital.

Services are at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at the Chapel of Selma Funeral Home with the Rev. James Farrow officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her husband, Calvin W. Saunders of Selma; one daughter, Donna Faye (Steve) Reid of Selma; three sisters, Lucy (Mack) Stanley of Mt. Desert Island, Bar Harbor Maine, Maude Pelletier of Bar Harbor, Maine and Mildred Smith of Maine; two grandchildren, MeChelle M. Foster of Norcross, Ga., and Lawrence Shane Miley of Selma; and two great-grandchildren, Hanna E. Miley and Matthew S. Miley both of Selma.

Family visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the funeral home.
