Byron Moore Becton

Byron Moore Becton, 19, of Orrville, died Friday, Nov. 8, 2002.

Services are at 12 noon Saturday, Nov. 16, at Keith High School Auditorium with Rev. Lee Green officiating. Burial will follow in Salem P. B. Church Cemetery, Orrville, with Miller Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his mother, Joann Moore-Mitchell.

Nellie Johnson

Nellie Johnson, 68, of Selma, died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002, at a local nursing home.

Services are at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, at the Chapel of Miller Funeral Home with the Rev. Nathaniel Holloway officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.

Callie Eubanks

Callie Eubanks, 72, of Perry County, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at her home.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.

Eliza Carter

Eliza Carter, 100, of Demopolis, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at her home.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at Greater New Hope Baptist Church in Demopolis, with the Rev. Edward King officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Demopolis, with Larkin and Scott Funeral Home directing.

The body will lie in state at the church on Saturday, beginning at 12 noon.

Lizzie Strong

Lizzie Strong, 79, of Selma, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002, at a local hospital.

Services are at 12 noon Saturday, Nov. 16, at Sandridge Baptist Church with the Rev. M. E. Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her husband, Wesley Strong Sr.; four sons, Cleophus

Strong Jr. Wesley Strong Jr., Thomas Strong and Michael Strong; three daughters, Susie Smith, Brenda Hannah and Janice Rutledge; 26 grandchildren; three sons-in-law; and 28 brothers-in-law.

Active pallbearers are grandsons.

Lydia P. Parker

Lydia P. Parker, 68, of Gallion, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at a Birmingham hospital.

Services are at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at Lovely Baptist Church, Gallion, with the Rev. Roy L. Scruggs officiating. Burial will follow in Coleman Cemetery, Gallion, with Larkin and Scott Funeral Home directing.
