Housel speaks

David Housel, Athletic Director for Auburn University, was the guest speaker at the Selma Quarterback Club on Tuesday night. Housel has been the Athletic Director at Auburn for the last seven years, and during his tenure the athletics’ and academics have prospered. Progress has been the staple of Housels years at Auburn, and it has been evident in all of Auburn’s athletics venues. During his tenure not only has Auburn’s athletic department won National Championships, but they have been host to several championship events.

During Housels speech on Tuesday night he made reference to several things going on at Auburn University at present time.

Housel also spoke of a times in every persons life when they have to choose one of two roads.

He also talked of past Auburn teams that had gone through adversity, and overcome it with flying colors.

The Auburn Florida game is what got Housel talking about teams turning corners. &uot;I think that last weeks game may have been the turning point for our current football team,&uot; said Housel. After Carnell Williams went down last week the whole team rose up, and shouldered some of the load. I believe that last week was the turning point in this football team.&uot;

Next week is ladies night at the Selma Quarterback Club, and Mark Gottfried and Cliff Ellis will be the guest speaker.
