Martin defeats West Blocton

The Martin Middle School Bulldogs picked up their fifth win of the year Tuesday night against West Blocton 22-8.

Despite having three turnovers in the game the Bulldogs dominated West Blocton.

The Bulldogs managed to negate one of the three fumbles when Eric Curtis intercepted a pass.

Chris Jones picked up two of the Bulldogs touchdowns.

The first one coming on the second play of the game for 69 yards, and the other on a 23 yard ramble down the field. Quincy Hill picked up the other Bulldog touchdown on a 35 yard run.

Jones led the way on offense for the Bulldogs, amassing 170 yards on 12 carries, (159 of that in the first half) and he also led the team on defense with six tackles. Quincy Hill piled up 58 yards, Eric Curtis had 32, and Demius Jackson rushed for 30.

Teraous Mitchell piled up 5 tackles on defense for the bulldogs, and Alex Collins and Eric Curtis each had three tackles.
