Clarence Edward Hollins Sr.

Clarence Edward Hollins Sr., 67, of Selma, died Saturday, September 27, 2003, at a healthcare facility.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct 4, at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Steven Washington officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include a loving and devoted wife, Grace G. Hollins; two sons, Clarence E. (Carla) Hollins II of Atlanta, Ga., and Wayne P. Hollins of Birmingham; two brothers, Roosevelt (Linda) Hollins II of Detroit, Mich., and Lemuel (Eartha) Hollins of San Jose, Calif.; precious grandchildren, Amber Anderson of Ala A&M Univ., Clarence Hollins III and Briana Hollins of Atlanta, Ga.; godchildren, Robin and Robert Martin Jr. of Selma and Julia Foy of Birmingham; sisters-in-law, Marie Hollins of New York City, N.Y. and Ernestine Hollins of Corinth, Mass.; two nephews; 10 nieces; other relatives, a caring friend, Mrs. Oliver Henry; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers are local bricklayers and friends.

Honorary pallbearers are Trinity Lutheran Church Elders.

Mr. Hollins was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and served as president of the congregation for 28 years, and also sung in the adult and male chorus.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Hollins was also a member of the brick layers union.

Mary Louise Sellers

Mary Louise Sellers, 55, of Lowndes County, died Monday, September 29, 2003.

Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Braxton officiating.

Burial will follow in Mt. Willing Cemetery with Bell Funeral Home directing.

Almeda V. Stewart

Almeda V. Stewart, 80, of Union Springs, died Wednesday, October 1, 2003.

Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 4, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. David Stewart and the Rev. Bruce Hose officiating.

Burial will follow in Union Springs Perpetual Care Cemetery with Gray Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Alfred and Helen Stewart of Selma and David and Beverly Stewart of Union Springs; four grandsons, Jamie Stewart, Matthew Stewart, Davey Stewart and James Wesley Stewart; great-grandson, Trey Stewart; two brothers, Raymond Wagner of Oklahoma and Hardy Wagner of Fresno, Calif.

Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Harry A. Stafford III

Col. Harry A. Stafford III, USAF (Ret.), died Wednesday, October 1, 2003, at his home.

Services are at 2 p.m., Saturday, October, 4, at Central Baptist Church. Burial will follow at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Stafford of Kathleen; mother, Dorothy Stafford of Van Vleck, Texas; daughter, Jennifer S. Burkhalter (Rob) of Corning, NY; son, Harry A. Stafford IV (Laura) of Tuscaloosa; brothers, John Stafford and Edward Stafford both of Van Vleck, Texas, and Richard Stafford of Houston, Texas; and grandchildren, Lane Elizabeth Stafford and Harry A. Stafford V both of Tuscaloosa.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harry A. Stafford II.

Family visitation will be Friday from 7-9 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Central Baptist Church, Joy in the Journey, 1647 Watson Boulevard, Warner Robins, GA, 31093, or Portsbridge Hospice or the charity of the donors choice.

Col. Stafford was born in Val Vleck, Texas.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and was retired from the United States Air Force.

He was also retired from the Houston County Board of Education where he had been the ROTC instructor at Warner Robins High School.

Col. Stafford was a member of Central Baptist Church and Dr. Bill Conrad’s Sunday School class.

Jerrilou Bruno-Beal

Jerrilou Bruno-Beal, 65, of Demopolis, died Friday, September 26, 2003, at a Demopolis nursing home.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 4, at Petty Memorial AME Zion Church, Demopolis, with the Rev. Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Larkin and Scott Funeral Home directing.

The body will lie in state at the church on Saturday, beginning at 12 noon.

Irene Neal

Irene Neal, 77, of Demopolis, died Sunday, September 28, 2003, at a Demopolis nursing home.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 4, at New Morning Star Baptist Church with the Rev. E. C. Clemons officiating. Burial will follow in St. Matthew Watson Cemetery with Larkin and Scott Funeral Home directing.

The body will lie in state at the church on Saturday, beginning at 12 noon.

Albert Winn

Albert Winn, 72, of Detroit, Mich., formerly of Boligee, died recently at a hospital in Detroit, Mich.

Graveside services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 4, at New Fellowship Cemetery in Boligee, with the Rev. Christopher Stepney officating.

Burial will follow in New Fellowship Cemetery with Larkin and Scott Funeral Home directing.
