Senators showdown

The Morgan Academy Senators are coming off their fourth victory of the year, in which they trounced a strong Clarke Prep team on their own field 35-26. This week things don’t get any easier, the Senators take on a very strong, and physical team that absolutely destroyed the Meadowview Christian Trojans this past Friday night 49-7.
Mobile Christian was defeated this season by Clarke Prep whom Morgan defeated last week. The weather was ideal for last Fridays game, but this week it might not play out the same way. With a chance of scattered thunderstorms it could put the Senators back in the same weather conditions they were in against Macon East.
If the weather stays dry on Friday night the Senators hope to try to exploit certain weakness in the Mobile Christian Defense to help them win the game.
Morgan Academy has not yet suffered a loss in their region, and they seem to be in the driver’s seat at this point. Mobile Christian could score a huge victory if they could knock off the Senators, and it would move them up in the standings as well.
If Morgan can keep up the stellar defense, and offense like they displayed in last week’s game against Clarke Prep they should be able to match up very well with Mobile Christian. Peak put up 120 yards on 18 rushes last week against Clarke Prep, and he also had a 74 yard interception return for a touchdown. Lyon is also a threat to run at any time. He put up 65 yards on eight carries last week, and has had good number all year.
Morgan Academy takes on Mobile Christian Friday night at 7:30.
