Alston Keith Jr., defense attorney for Timothy L. Posey, of 226 Goldsby St. in Selma, tried to persuade Judge Nathaniel Walker on Tuesday to reduce the $75,000 consolidated bond for his client, who has three charges of first-degree robbery pending.
The judge wasn’t buying it.
Posey’s spree began Aug. 2 when he allegedly went into a Speedy Shell gas station, jumped on the counter and took money from the cash register.
Six day later on Aug. 6, Posey allegedly used the same tactic to the get money from Mr. Roy’s Corner Store, and was successful.
Posey was arrested Aug. 13 in connection to the crimes.
After his release from jail, Posey allegedly then tried his jump-on-the-counter-and-grab-the-money routine at a Conoco gas station Aug. 22, but was unsuccessful.
The cashier slammed his fingers in the register and Posey fled the scene. He was arrested Aug. 23 for the crime and remained on a revolked bond status before the $75,000 bond was set.
