Junior Lee Steele

Junior Lee Steele, 52, of Selma, died Monday, Sept. 22, 2003 at his home.

Services are at 2 p.m. Sept. 26 at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Marc Vincent officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be held in Elmwood Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Felecia Steele; mother-in-law, Bernice Cleveland; father-in-law,

Grady Cleveland, Sr.; two sons, Charles Oliver and Derrik Peake, both of Selma; four daughters, Bridget Oliver, Alice Woods, Deatrice Peake, and Stephanie Hasberry of Detroit; five sisters, Katie Mae Jones, Martha Steele, both of Staten Island, N.Y., Nellie Mae Coats of Harrell, Pa., Rita Steele of Ariz., and Mary Taylor of Bessemer; 15 grandchildren; four sister-in-laws, a devoted sister-in-law Euvertha Cleveland; two brother-in-laws and a host of nieces, nephews; devoted friends, Robert Williams, Joseph Agee and Louvenia Johnson.

He was preceded in death by three brothers.

Active pallbearers include Charles Oliver, Derrick Peake, Joseph Agee, Sam Edwards, Junior Lee, and Robert Williams.

He was born in Selma on Aug. 30, 1951 to John and Hattie Steele. He confessed to Christ at an early age.

The family will receive friends on Sept. 25 between 6 and 8 p.m. at the Selma Funeral Home.

Katie Hines Smiley

Katie Hines Smiley, 85, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003 at a local hospital.

Services are at 1 p.m. Sept. 27 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Rev. Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery wiht Walker Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include one grandson, George (Irene) Franklin; one very special granddaughter, Katie Hunter; a very special great-granddaughter, Talia Hunter; a very special great-great-granddaughter Capri Caesar, all of Selma; one daughter-in-law; one god-daughter; three granddaughters; five great- granddaughters; two great-grandsons; nine great-great grandchildre; Very loving friends Mr. and Mrs. Frank Calloway and family of Selma. One special niece Mazell James of Selma and a host of loving nieces, nephews, friends and family.

Nathan Anders Jr.

Nathan Anders Jr., 72, died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2003 at a Mongtomery

hospital.

Services are at 1 p.m. Sept. 26 at martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Acreman and the Rev. Roy Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in the Alpine Baptist Cemetery in Plantersville.

Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Anders of Billingsley; sons, Michael Anders of Selma, Jeffery Anders of Selma, and Christopher Anders of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; daughters, Helen Green of Maplesville and Linda Thompson of Natchez, Miss.; step-son, Howard Harrison of Billingsley; step-daughters, Thelma Booth of Jupiter, Fla., Annie Davis of Maplesville, Patsy Brown of Selma, and Alice Bowden of Rockford; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Sept. 25 at Martin Funeral Home.
