Macon East takes Morgan

Morgan Academy moved to 3-1 on the year after suffering their first loss Friday night against Macon East 18-6.
Morgan Academy took the opening kickoff, and marched the ball 79 yards down the field in six plays to take their first, and only lead of the game. Travis Lyon hooked up with Rick Brignac on a 22 yard touchdown pass to cap off the drive, and the extra point sailed wide right to give the Senators the 6-0 lead.
With 2:26 left in the first quarter Macon East took over the ball on the Senators 25 yard line, and three plays later they had the lead. The extra point failed, and the score was tied 6-6.
Macon East got another scoring opportunity when Morgan fumbled the ball on their own 44 yard line. It took only four plays for Dean Bolden to find Jason Riel in the back of the end zone to give Macon East the go ahead score.
The extra point failed again to make the score 12-6 Macon East.
Macon East took the opening kick off of the second half, and scored their final touchdown of the game. Bolden hooked up with Goude once again for the six yard touchdown pass.
Macon East went for the two-point conversion, and failed to make the final score 18-6.
Morgan Academy takes on Clarke Prep next Friday night at home.
