Meadowview looks for comeback

Meadowview Christian coming off a 28-0 loss to defending 3A State Champs Monroe Academy will take on Faith Academy Friday night at Wasden Field at 7:30 p.m. Faith Academy also suffered a loss to Morgan Academy in a heartbreaker last Friday night 26-21.

Faith Academy played a tight ball game with Morgan last Friday night with the game coming down to the wire, and Morgan picking up the win with less than two minutes left to play

Meadowview Christian is a young team that just hasn’t seemed to find the right kind of chemistry yet, but they are working at it. &uot;We have tried to play different people at different spots trying to find the right chemistry to come together as a team,&uot; said

Jackson. When Meadowview does find the chemistry they are looking for, they should be an above average team.

Faith not known for having a strong football program until the last couple of years, has become one of the AISA power houses.

Meadowview will try to make corrections on the practice field this week, and see if it will help against Faith on Friday night.

Knowing the fundamentals of football is key to winning ball games, and with such a young team it takes leadership from players that have been there before to help instill it in the younger players.

One of the major dilemmas that the Trojans have ran into this year is a lack of skill players at key positions. &uot;Last week we ran into a very skilled team that had a lot of speed, and we had a tough time keeping up, because of our lack of speed,&uot; said Jackson.

Meadowview Christian hope to right the ship this week against Faith at 7:30 p.m.
