Ernestine Williams, 58, of Selma, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2003, at UAB Hospital.

Funeral services will be noon Wednesday, Sept. 3, at Ebenezer Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. F.D. Reese officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her husband, Willie Williams Jr.; her mother, Louise Mosley; a son, Willie Williams III; three daughters, Karen Williams, Angela Robinson and Latasha Williams-Elder; five sisters, Bonnie Walker, Gloria Hollis, Bennie Mae Heard, Nasaretta Rivera, and Debra Farrish; six grandchildren; a son-in-law; two daughters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Verna Marie Alexander

Verna Marie Alexander, 71, of Selma, died Monday, Sept. 1, 2003, at a Prattville hospital.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, in the chapel of Selma Funeral Home with the Revs. Joe Britton and Carey Waldrop officiating. Burial will be at Pineview Cemetery with Selma Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include a son, Michael (Karen) Alexander of Selma; three daughters, Deborah (Bill) Poe of Chattanooga, Tenn., Donna Steele of Prattville, and Lisa (Joey) Henson of Chattanooga; three sisters, Frances McGalliard of Verbena, Louise Hooks of Verbena, and Glenda Jackson of Jemison; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends between 6 and 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, at Selma Funeral Home.
