Belated Tuberville visits Selma QB Club

Auburn has been working hard for the season opener against the Southern Cal, and Tuberville said they have been working overtime trying to get ready because of the game being on Monday night instead of a regular Saturday game. That, he said, was the reason he was late by nearly an hour Tuesday night at the Carl Morgan Convention Center.

Auburn has changed its philosophy on summer practice this year compared to year’s past.

This year Tuberville thinks the Tigers can actually compete at the level of some of the top schools.

This year, depth should play a strong factor in how much of a run the Auburn Tigers can make at an SEC title, and a New Years day bowl game.

Tubberville spoke highly of three Selma natives playing for Auburn this year.

Tuberville was very pleased with Bret Hollimans’ special teams play, and said that he looked for good things from him this year.

Todd Bradford is working hard, and improving every day.

When asked about naming Daniel Cobb starting quarterback, and how Jason Campbell was coming along, Tuberville jokingly said: &uot;It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to turn around and pitch the ball to Carnell Willams. It’s no big suprise Southern Cal expects us to hand the ball off at least 25 or 30 times in Mondays game.&uot;

According to Tuberville this should be a good year for Auburn football, but having to play four games in a span of 17 days can be hard on any team.
