Dorothy Angelaine Lambert

Dorothy Angelaine Lambert, 82, of Ft. Worth, Texas, formerly of Selma, died Thursday, Aug. 15, 2002 at a Texas hospital.

Graveside services are at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 19, at New Live Oak Cemetery with Dr. Kenny Hatcher officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include a daughter, Peggy (Mac) Curtis of Ft. Worth, Texas; grandchildren, John (Sue) Lovelace of Copperas Cove, Texas, Michael (Crissy) Lovelace of Anchorage, Alaska, Angela (David) Liston of Simi Valley, Calif., and Mac Allen (Tracey) Curtis of Keller, Texas; and eight grandchildren.

Mrs. Lambert’s family owned and operated Lambert Oil Company for many years.

Retta J. Hines

Retta J. Hines, 96, of Coatopa, died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2002 at a hospital in Carrollton.

Services were at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, at Dugg Hill P.B. Church, Coatopa, with the Rev. W.L. Anderson officiating. Burial followed in church cemetery with Larkin and Scott Funeral Home of Demopolis directing.

Kevin J. Seabron

Kevin J. Seabron, 45, of Demopolis, died Monday, Aug. 12, 2002 at a Demopolis hospital.

Services are at 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, at Gilfield M.B. Church, Gallion, with the Rev. Moses C. Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Gilfield Community Cemetery with Larkin and Scott Funeral Home of Demopolis directing.

The body will lie in state at the church beginning at 12 noon.

William H. Washington

William H. Washington, 75, of Ft. Wayne, Ind., formerly of Faunsdale, died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2002 at a hospital in Ft. Wayne, Ind.

Services were at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church, Faunsdale, with the Rev. Mitchell Congress officiating. Burial followed in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Faunsdale, with Larkin and Scott Funeral Home of Demopolis directing.

Loraine Tolver

Loraine Tolver, 58, of Selma, died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2002 at a local hospital.

Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, at Little Elam Baptist Church with the Rev. Thornton L. Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her husband, J. C. Tolver Sr.; two sons, J. C. Tolver Jr. and Alonzo Tolver; two daughters, Linda Freeman and Mary Ann Tolver; three brothers, Willie Motley, C. S. Taylor and Edward Taylor; one sister, Mae Mandy Palmer; five grandchildren; one son-in-law; one daughter-in-law; seven brothers-in-law; 11 sisters-in-law; 17 nephews; 12 nieces; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Tolver was preceded in death by her parents, Archie Taylor and Everlene Taylor.

Active pallbearers are family members.

Family visitation will be from 1 – 2 p.m. on Sunday, at the church, prior to the service.

Mattie Shelton

Mattie Shelton, 97, of Cleveland, Ohio, formerly of Coatopa, died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2002 in Cleveland, Ohio.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Larkin and Scott Funeral Home of Demopolis.

James Robert Johnson

James Robert Johnson, 8, of Selma, died Friday, Aug. 16, 2002, at a Birmingham hospital.

Services will be held Monday, Aug. 19, 2002 in the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Dr. Kenny Hatcher officiating. Burial will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery with Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include mother Darlene Bates Johnson of Selma; father Randy Johnson of Marion; maternal grandparents Dianee and Robert Bates of Selma; paternal grandfather Manley Pierce of Opelika; maternal great grandmother Willie Mae Maurer of Selma; aunt and uncle Dewauna and Richard Vinson of Selma; cousin Austin Vinson of Selma; maternal great uncle Louis Maurer of Selma; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Master Johnson is preceded in death by a paternal grandmother, Kathline Pierce, and maternal great grandfather, Eugene Maurer.

Active pallbearers include Bryan Stevenson, Jeff Gardner, Kenny Wayne Johnson and Greg Nichols.

The family is scheduled to receive friends and Lawrence Funeral Home on Sunday, Aug. 18, 2002, from 6-8 p.m.

Ralph Warren Wright

Ralph Warren Wright, 73, of Pine Hill, died Friday, Aug. 16, 2002, at his home.

Services are scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 18, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Pine Hill Cemetery with Rev. Dan Urquhart officiating and O’Bryant Funeral Home of Thomasville directing.

Survivors include wife Mattie Lee Wright of Pine Hill; son David (Angela) Wright of Pine Hill; daughters Judy W. (Marion C.) Riviere of Bonifay, Fla., and Freda W. Gibson of Thomasville; brothers Gerald Wright of Pine Hill, Kenyon Wright of Monroeville, and Elvin Wright of Greensboro; sister Freda A. Bradford of Mobile; and grandchildren Marianne Gibson, Lee Rubino, Charlyn Vick, Sandy Vick, Tracy Williamson, Ashley Wright, Matthew Wright and Rachel Wright.

Active pallbearers include Bryan Wright, Donny Wright, James Wright, Jerry Wright and Tommy Wright.

Floral tributes will be accepted. Or, in lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to a Hospice of the donor’s choice or the the American Heart Association.

The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 18, 2002, until the time of the service.

Deborah &uot;Debi&uot; Williams Jacobi, 53, of Riverdale, Ga., died Friday, Aug. 16, 2002.

Services are scheduled for Monday, Aug. 19, 2002, at First Baptist Church of Riverdale at 10 a.m. with Rev. Jeff Low officiating. Burial will follow in Heiberger Methodist Cemetery with Michael Perry officiating and Tara Garden Chapel Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her husband, Howard Jacobi of Riverdale, Ga.; parents Ralph and Louise Williams of Marion; son Tobias Jacobi of Silva, S.C.; and a daughter, Brandee Colburn of Scott Air Force Base, Ill.
