Bettie Lou Cook

Bettie Lou Cook, 85, of Selma, died Tuesday, July 23, 2002 at a local hospital.

Graveside services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, at Elmwood Cemetery with the Rev. James Spicer officiating and Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include one son, Thomas Cook of Brooklyn, N.Y.; one sister, Lizzie Houston of Selma; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three nephews; and 10 nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lake and Rosa Cook.

Active pallbearers are great-grandsons.

Patricia Ann Eveland Haughton

Patricia Ann Eveland Haughton, 62, of Haleyville, died Monday, July 22, 2002 at a Birmingham hospital.

Services were at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 25, at First United Methodist in Haleyville, with Dr. Will Garrett officiating and Pinkard Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her husband, Bristol Haughton; sons, Chip Haughton of Prattville, Kent Haughton of Florence and Boo Haughton of Haleyville; one daughter, Mandy Little of Haleyville; father, Howard Eveland; three brothers; three sisters; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Catherine Eveland.

Timothy Brian Sanderson

Timothy Brian Sanderson, 21, of Marion, died Friday, July 26, 2002, in Perry County.

Services are scheduled for Monday, July 29, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Kirk Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pine Crest Memorial Gardens in Marion, with Kirk Funeral Homes directing.

Survivors include a father, Timothy Sanderson of Marion; a mother, Donna Posey of Selma; three sisters, Jennifer Posey of Atlanta, Melissa Sanderson of West Blocton, and Stephane Hale of Marion.

The family will receive friends Sunday, July 28, 2002, from 6-8 p.m. at Kirk Funeral Homes in Marion.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to the Perry County Chapter of Friends of NRA Youth in Marion.
