Dr. George W. Moss
Dr. George W. Moss, a native of Selma, died Wednesday, July 24, 2002 at a hospital in Natchez Miss.
Funeral services will be held in Natchez, Miss. on Saturday, July 27.
Further arrangements will be announced later.
Kelvin L. Acoff
Kelvin L. Acoff, 28, of Milwaukee, Wis., formerly of Marion Jct., died Saturday, July 20, 2002.
Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 27, at New Pernell M.B. Church, Marion Jct., with the Rev. Earl Butler officiating. Burial will follow in the churchyard cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include his parents, Leola and Noah Vaughn; two daughters, Kayla and Kennedy Acoff; two sisters, LaKesha and Kimberly Vaughn; one nephew; and a host of uncles, aunts and other relatives; and a special friend, Monique Howard.
Active pallbearers are Francis Marion High School Class of 1993.
Mr. Acoff was a member of New Pernell Baptist Church in Marion Jct. After moving to Milwaukee, Wis., he united with the Holy Cathedral were the Rev. Charles McCellanid is the pastor. He was a 1993 graduate of Francis Marion High School. He received an honorable discharge from the United States Navy.
Samuel Cosby Sr.
Samuel Cosby Sr., 43, of
Demopolis, died Saturday, July 20, 2002 at his home.
Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 27, at Friendship Baptist Church, Demopolis, with the Rev. Henry Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Millers Cemetery, Demopolis, with Larkin and Scott Funeral Home of Demopolis directing.
The body will lie in state at the church on Saturday, beginning at 12 noon
