Three Selma women charged with beating and cutting a teenage girl outside of a local night club in March have been indicted by a Dallas County grand jury.

Rosalind M. Reeves, Cassandra Green, and Marzette Reeves have been indicted on one count of assault first degree.

According to the District Attorney’s office, the women caused serious physical injury to 16-year-old Natarsha Williams of Selma, by striking her with a broken bottle on her head and body.

The incident left the teenager with several severe lacerations to her head and arms. The injuries required extensive medical treatment, said assistant district attorney Joseph Fitzpatrick, who is prosecuting the case.

According to the victim’s testimony in a preliminary hearing held last month, the incident occurred on March 17 outside of Club 1-12, formerly Darrell’s. The victim testified that she went to a concert held at the club around 12 a.m., when she became involved in an argument with the three women. Authorities say the argument was over a male companion.

During the argument, a fight ensued, in which Williams was allegedly hit several times and cut with broken beer bottles by Green and the Reeves sisters.

An unknown subject broke up the fight and called the ambulance. Williams received thirty stitches on her shoulders and left hip and two staples were used to close a wound on her head.

When Fitzpatrick asked the teenager why was she at an adult night club at 12 a.m., Williams did not respond.

Green, Rosalind and Marzette Reeves are currently out on bond and were unavailable for comment.
